GiveCampus is excited to offer Summer Camp with GiveCampus, a free professional development series for our GiveCampus Partners.
On the heels of our Summer Kickoff Bonfire, we’re now ready to dive into some workshops. GiveCampus Partners are encouraged to join us for a week-long learning extravaganza. Each day will feature a tailored virtual workshop led by GiveCampus team members and partner schools who have been in your shoes!
This series is also eligible for CFRE credits. Full participation in Summer Camp with GiveCampus is applicable for 7 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. Each individual workshop is applicable for 1 point.

Day 1: Monday, August 14
GiveCampus 101: Back to Basics

We’ll be kicking our workshops off by taking a step back and providing a look at the GiveCampus platform basics. From setting up a fundraising campaign to creating a giving form, our co-hosts Amal and Christiana will provide a basic understanding of GiveCampus tools and best practices. This session is perfect for new partners or anyone who needs a refresher on the GiveCampus basics.

Day 2: Tuesday, August 15
Analyze This: Unpacking & Learning from Your GC Results

Need help getting buy-in from your leadership? Learn how to leverage GiveCampus reporting and analytics tools to prove the ROI of GiveCampus and maximize your future campaign earnings. You’ll learn how to analyze past campaign results, meet your FY24 goals, and find growth opportunities. This is a great workshop if you are in the midst of debriefing from fiscal year-end 2023 and beginning your 2024 planning.

Learn how GiveCampus can be your sidekick for a successful reunion. Get the lowdown on how to utilize GC Events Pro for your 2024 Reunions and corresponding campaigns. Our co-hosts will review new GiveCampus functionalities and demonstrate how to use GC Events for reunion fundraising, registration, engagement, and more!

Day 3: Wednesday, August 16
Gift Entry Made Easy: GiveCampus Reporting & CRM Integrations

Partner Co-Presenter: Douglas McCarthy, Director of Alumni and Development Operations ( The Hotchkiss School)
Learn how to spend less time reconciling gifts and more time raising money in this targeted workshop. Get an overview of the many ways GiveCampus can be integrated with your unique database system. Regardless of what database you use, GiveCampus has ways to prepare and transfer your data for seamless gift entry. Join Troy to explore best practices for GiveCampus reporting, as well as examples from GiveCampus partners who have used different automations to streamline the process of getting constituent, gift, and event data into their database.

Desire to Acquire: Young Alumni and New Donor Acquisition Strategies

Are you stumped on how to engage new donors? Perhaps you have a successful new strategy for engaging your young alumni. Join this interactive workshop to brainstorm and share donor acquisition best practices and ideas with fellow GiveCampus partners. You’ll come away with creative new strategies to boost participation and engage donors of all ages.

Day 4: Thursday, August 17
Bringing the Cheer to Peer to Peer

Partner Co-Presenters: John Helmick, Chief Advancement Officer ( Salesianum School)
People give to people. If that resonates with you, tune in for this hands-on workshop. Learn how to put the fun into recruiting, activating, and engaging your volunteers. Join Jamie and Emily as they chat through how to inspire volunteers across your community. Get an overview of best practices (and valuable lessons learned) about advocacy and volunteer recruitment, activation, and stewardship in the name of growing a sustainable and engaging volunteer program. You’ll also come away from this workshop with valuable communication plans and resources for recruiting and activating your fundraising volunteers.

Day 5: Friday, August 18
Pay Attention to Retention

Camp Counselors: Lauren Milione and Melanie Simmons
Retention is the cornerstone of long term fundraising success. But how do you put retention and recurring gifts at the forefront of your FY24 fundraising strategy? Lauren and Melanie will guide a brainstorming session with fellow GiveCampus partners to talk through key insights and ways to improve your donor retention rate and grow your recurring gift program.

Members of the GiveCampus partner community are invited to register for any or all of the seven workshops listed above. Simply visit the Summer Camp registration page and register for each session individually.
