Giving Tuesday has become a global movement. Here's how Westminster College made the day all their own.

THE CHALLENGE

As they planned the launch of their second-ever Giving Tuesday campaign, the Development at Westminster College knew their goals for the big day: boost participation, engage young alumni, and acquire new donors.

THE SOLUTION

The answer to achieving these goals was twofold.

First, the team opened up the campaign to allow donors to support different restricted funds across campus — including the Student Emergency Fund, academic departments, an on-campus food pantry, and more.

Second, Westminster recruited alumni and other community members to serve as Advocates and to help spread the word about this opportunity to 'Find Your Project, Pick Your Passion' amongst their peer networks. Thanks to the community's tremendous response to these volunteers' peer-to-peer outreach, the team's Giving Tuesday goals were achieved — and then some!
