Senior Sales Leader

We are seeking a seasoned sales leader to join our management team and help drive the next phase of our company’s growth. The ideal candidate will be data-driven and systems-based; someone who thrives on unlocking progressively greater results by creating more and more leverage, not by throwing progressively more people at the problem.

GiveCampus is a high-velocity sales environment. We’re also profitable and consistently growing revenue by 75%-150%. The successful candidate will be expected to sustain and accelerate these trends. The initial focus of this role will be new sales (acquisition) and cross-sales, but could expand to include renewal sales.

NOTE: This position can be based in our Washington, DC office or our San Francisco, CA office. **Remote candidates will not be considered**

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Driving aggressive revenue growth and increasing profitability
  • Setting sales goals and developing the strategies, systems, infrastructure, and plans to achieve those goals quickly and efficiently
  • Providing detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting
  • Monitoring customer, market, and competitor activity and partnering with company leadership to design and execute overall business strategy for long-term success
  • Identifying if/where/how buying behavior varies within our market and structuring team and approach to optimize for these variances
  • Managing a full-stack sales team focused on inbound and outbound sales of all four GiveCampus products (#5 is coming soon!) to all market segments (e.g., K-12 schools and higher education). **People management experience is critical.**
  • Recruiting and hiring, as necessary, to grow the sales organization and unlock accelerated growth
  • Developing staff through training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Managing key relationships and participating in closing strategic opportunities
  • Occasional travel for conferences/trade shows and in-person meetings (e.g., with key prospects)


  • 5+ years experience in sales leadership position(s) at B2B software/SaaS companies
  • Track record of doubling (or more) YoY revenue for multiple consecutive years
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a knack for nurturing mutually-beneficial, long-term relationships with customers and other stakeholders
  • Deep people management expertise
  • Expertise with Salesforce

Extra credit if:

  • You have led a team(s) that grew new customer revenue from <$3M to >$10M in <3 years
  • You have led a team(s) that successfully grew total revenue from <$10M ARR to >$25M in <2 years
  • You have experience selling something “like” GiveCampus
  • You have experience selling to educational institutions or other non-profit organizations
  • Your track record includes not only driving outstanding revenue growth but also maintaining, increasing, and/or establishing profitability
  • Your experience has spanned sales to SMBs, mid-market, and enterprise with deals ranging from <$10K ACV to >$150K ACV
  • You have experience overseeing renewal sales in addition to new logo acquisition
  • You have experience selling a new product that became a meaningful percentage of total revenue in its second year
  • You have experience transitioning from a generalized sales team to a more specialized and segmented sales team
  • You have experience evolving a sales strategy from a horizontal approach to a segmented, value-based approach
