GiveCampus | Online Fundraising for Schools | Crowdfunding for Schools

Our story.

GiveCampus is the world’s leading digital fundraising and volunteer management platform for non-profit educational institutions. This is how we got here.

September 2001

Our founders, Mike and Kestrel, meet as freshmen at Johns Hopkins University.

The guys graduate. Mike heads to California to start his career as a software engineer, while Kestrel stays behind in Washington, DC to start graduate school at Georgetown University.

September 2013

Kestrel and Mike reconnect at a mutual friend’s wedding. While reminiscing about the good old days at Hopkins, they both remark how often the school has asked them to donate– and they both admit they haven’t given a dime. That gets them thinking. . .

March 2014

Mike flies from California to Kestrel’s home in Washington, DC. They lock themselves in a rented conference room for five days to design the initial framework of the Social Fundraising Platform.

April 2014

Kestrel and Mike embark on a cross-country tour to hear what schools have to say about online giving.
