What started as a plan to transform an unused field on the Colby-Sawyer campus into a community garden ended up yielding a bumper crop of promising philanthropic potential.

Colby-Sawyer first partenered with GiveCampus back in 2016

Today, the College uses GiveCampus to power multiple initiatives—from everyday giving to crowdfunding and wealth screening. These tools empower fundraisers to engage constituents more strategically.

Recently, Colby-Sawyer used GiveCampus to:

Crowdfund a community garden

The modest campaign helped to fund a long-term local solution to a global challenge: food insecurity.

Some 74 donors made gifts totalling nearly $5,000. With that seed money, students were able to grow more than 1,300 pounds of produce for the local food pantry. But that was only part of the story.

We would not have acquired these donors or known about their significant philanthropic potential without GiveCampus. The platform connected the dots for us in real-time, putting us in a position to engage and steward them at a deeper, more meaningful level.
